Picture Story

We were given our last assignment to do a picture story. I did mine on a small business, Icing on the Cake. They make delicious, decadent cupcakes and the owner donates weekly to local retirement homes and women's shelters. I thought it might be nice to shine some light on the great things people do in Bellingham.

Emeritus Retirement home, enjoying their cupcakes one bite at a time.

Before the donation, the cupcakes displayed at the shop look mouth-watering. This is just one of the 26 flavors.

Icing on the Cake, on Champion Street downtown. Owner, Liz Kovacs opened the shop in June of 2010.

The Emeritus chef taking his first bite, before he digs in to , "One of the best cupcakes I have ever had," said Aaron Bel Cher.

The company started in 1998 out of a kitchen in Ferndale.

Known for their decadent ingredients and delicious buttercream frosting, you can find their cupcakes for sale at Woods Coffee, Javatown Espresso, Daisy Cafe, and Supreme Bean Coffee Cafe.

In Class adventure

We were given an assignment when we walked into class today. We were told to take our cameras and get a picture of anything on or off campus. So with camera in hand, in freezing weather, we set out for one hour to get a picture. This is what I came up with...

Magee Jackson is staying warm by the fire in the Atrium on campus. She was catching some sleep inbetween classes and staying out of the snow.
